Terms of Service

These terms apply when you use HisaabCore, operated by My Code Magic (“we”, “us”). By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them and to our Privacy Policy.

HisaabCore helps you record shared expenses, see who owes whom, and keep track of settling up. It does not hold, send or receive money. Payments between people happen outside the app, for example in cash, by bank transfer, UPI, Venmo or PayPal. Links that open those apps are a convenience only.

Balances are calculated from what you and your group members enter. Exchange rates come from the European Central Bank and are locked when an expense is saved; they may differ from what a bank or card charges. Please check important figures yourself. HisaabCore is not financial, tax or legal advice.

• You must be at least 13 years old, and give accurate information when you sign up.
• Keep your password safe. You’re responsible for activity on your account.
• What you add stays yours. You allow us to store and display it to you and the members of the groups you share it with, so the app can work.

• The Free plan costs nothing. Paid plans (Pro, Households, Teams) are billed monthly or yearly through Stripe, at the prices shown on our pricing page.
• Paid plans may start with a free trial. You won’t be charged if you cancel before it ends.
• Subscriptions renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings; you keep the paid features until the end of the period you’ve paid for.
• If you downgrade or cancel, nothing is deleted. Features that belong to a higher plan are simply locked.
• Payments are non-refundable except where the law requires otherwise. If you think you were charged by mistake, email info@mycodemagic.com.
• We may change prices; we’ll tell you in advance, and the change applies from your next billing period.

Please don’t:

• use HisaabCore for anything illegal, fraudulent or harassing;
• upload content you don’t have the right to share, or that contains malware;
• try to access other people’s accounts or data, or break or overload the service;
• scrape the service, or misuse the API beyond its documented, read-only purpose.

We may suspend or close accounts that break these rules.

You can delete your account at any time from Settings once your balances are settled. What happens to your data is described in the Privacy Policy. We may also end the service with reasonable notice, and we’ll give you a way to export your data first.

We work hard to keep HisaabCore accurate and available, but it’s provided “as is”, without guarantees that it will always be error-free or uninterrupted.

As far as the law allows, we aren’t liable for indirect or consequential losses, or for disputes between you and other users about money owed. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these terms limits rights you have under consumer law that can’t be waived.

We may update these terms. We’ll change the date above and, for significant changes, let you know by email or in the app before they take effect. Continuing to use HisaabCore after that means you accept the new terms.
